Recreating a VIMANA - 1895

There are some stories which can transport us to a different period,heart wrenching and inspiring at the same time. I have felt this many times especially during the History classes in which we were taught about India's pre-independence struggle.There were stories of patriotism, struggle, courage, deciet and most importanatly Faith,very few known to us, many being lost in the sands of time and concealed for so long.

The fates of our brave warriors like Rani Lakshmi Bai,Bhagat Sigh and Netaji Subash Chandra Bose had one thing in common - they were all betrayed by thier own in some way,which led to great movements being suppressed. Indians were not only suppressed on the battlefield,their intelligence was also oppressed and humiliated many a times.

Sri Shivkar Bapuji Talpade

Shivakar Bapuji Talpade, have you ever come across this name in any of the History text books?He was the first man to fly an Unmaned Aircraft during the year 1895 in Mumbai's Chowpati beach and thousands of spectators witnessed this great feat.Sri Shivkar was a great Sanskrit scholar who was  very interested in Aeronautical Sciences and his mentor was Sri Subaraya Sahstri,author of Vymaanika Shaastra/Science of Aeronautics.This book was based on ancient Sanskrit texts on Vimanas (Flying Machines) expounded by Maharishi Bharadwaj.

 Maharaja Sayajiroa Gaekwad of Baroda witnessed the flight and was willing to sponsor Sri Shivkar's research but was warned against it by the then British government.Sri Shivkar and Sri Subaraya were denounced as con artists and they faced persecution after which Sri Shivkar faced great difficulties and he eventually passed away in the year 1916.The samples,texts and all items pertaining to the Viana were sold by Sri Shivkar's relatives  to unidentified people.

I came across a very interesting documentary from History Channel on Vimanas and was suprised to see this technology being credited to Ancient Aliens.When did Hindu Gods become Aliens??Is it because they reside in a different Loka??Another myth??I'm sure that the science behind Hindu cosmology will be decoded soon.After all,even Vimanas were believed to be just part of the Hindu Mythology.
