The Essence Of Purity - Tulasi

Tulasi or "Holy Basil" is a revered plant in most of our homes.It has excellent medicinal qualities and is the favourite of Lord Vishnu.According to ancient Ayurveda texts,Tulsi can be used in the treatment of around 400 ailments.
But there is another exceptional quality of Tulasi which is it's "Positive Aura".The Tulasi plant purifies the atmosphere and also increases our positive energy thereby promoting peace and joy within us.
I also found an interesting story of how Tulsi was planted in the Victoria Gardens, Mumbai during it’s construction to get rid of the mosquito menace plaguing the workers on the site.Well,I never knew that Tulasi is a natural mosquito repellent plant.Amazing indeed !

Ever wondered why Tulsi water is given as prasad in temple?Well,an Indian scientist Dr T P Sasikumar has conducted research on this and found that Tulsi water used to bathe the idols of the deities has the health benefits of  "Clustered Water" or "Biowater"  which are:
* Energizes the body
* Hydrates cells and organs
* Helps remove waste and toxins from cells
* Helps boost nutrition absorption

What is "clustered water?"Clustered Water is a specific form of water instrumental in key cellular functions. Research has shown that the lack of this specific form of water is responsible for cellular aging and cellular problems.

"Yanmoole sarva tirthaani yannagre sarva devataa
Yanmadhye sarva vedaascha Tulasi taam namaamyaham."

I bow down to the Tulasi, at whose base (the roots) are all the holy places, at whose top reside all the deities (divinity), and in whose middle are all the Vedas.
